Deriva-Cms Gel is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor. You should normally wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine. It should not be applied to broken or damaged skin. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get it in these areas. It may take several weeks for your symptoms to improve, but you should keep using this medicine regularly. Do not stop using it as soon as your acne starts to get better. Ask your doctor when you should stop treatment.
Adapalene modulates cellular keratinization and inflammatory process. This anti-inflammatory effect is due to inhibition of the lipooxygenase activity and also to oxidative metabolism of arachidonic acid. These mechanisms may be the reason for decreased risk of irritation with adapalene
Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 23S RNA of the 50S subunit of the ribosome. Clindamycin is bacteriostatic
Clindamycin is absorbed well orally and can be given parenterally. Clindamycin diffuses well into body fluids except cerebrospinal fluid; it is concentrated in phagocytes. Most of the drug is metabolized; metabolites are excreted in bile and urine.
Adapalene is used to treat acne. Adapalene is in a class of medications called retinoid-like compounds. It works by stopping pimples from forming under the surface of the skin.

Cisatracurium The risk or severity of neuromuscular blockade can be increased when Clindamycin is combined with Cisatracurium.

Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

If you miss a dose of Deriva-Cms Gel, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Apply it as a thin layer onto clean, dry, unbroken skin affected by acne.
Avoid getting it in your eyes or mouth. If this happens, rinse with water immediately.
Do not apply to broken, sunburnt or sensitive areas of skin. Inform your doctor if you notice unusual dryness, redness, and peeling of the skin.
It makes your skin more sensitive toward sunlight. Apply sunscreen or wear protective clothing while stepping out.

Q. Can I use Deriva-Cms Gel as a spot treatment (for single pimple)?
It is not a spot treatment and should not be used to treat a single pimple. Deriva-Cms Gel should be applied to the entire face. Using it everyday can treat your acne.
Q. How long does Deriva-Cms Gel take to work?
It may take up to 2-3 weeks before your symptoms improve. Deriva-Cms Gel may take some time to deliver significant results. Use the medicine as directed and let your doctor know if your symptoms do not improve or get worse.
Q. Will Deriva-Cms Gel be more effective if I overuse it?
No, do not overuse Deriva-Cms Gel. It can cause over-absorption of the medicine into the body and cause severe diarrhea. If you are experiencing increased severity of your symptoms, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
Q. What precautions I need to follow while using Deriva-Cms Gel?
You need to be cautious while applying Deriva-Cms Gel. Avoid contact with the eyes, lips, angles of the nose, and inside of the mouth. This medication should not be applied to cuts, abrasions, inflamed or reddened skin, and sunburned skin. Wax epilation should not be performed on treated skin, as it may cause skin erosions.
